Eucalyptus Honesty Shop

The Eucalyptus Honesty Shop is more than just a small business. It's a hands-on learning experience for Middle School students at MST. Run by students with a commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship, the shop offers handmade products ranging from custom-printed bags to all-natural soaps and skincare items. 

Every step of the process, from brainstorming and sourcing eco-friendly ingredients to crafting, packaging, and selling, is carefully thought out to create high-quality, environmentally conscious goods for the school community.

The Middle School students run a small business that caters to parents and children, selling a range of products, from custom screen printed bags and t-shirts to homemade soaps and other toiletry items that often evolve from classroom studies. Our main goals when making products is to choose sustainable, eco friendly sources whenever possible, and to always hand make our products. We use ingredients that are safe, natural and nourishing to your skin, such as olive oil and Japanese beeswax. 

Recently, we sold White Day bags, which contained all natural and handmade products like beeswax lip balm and lotion, and soap designed for the theme of the bag. Making this bag (or any product we produce) is time consuming but necessary. First, we brainstorm product ideas, and decide which ones meet our requirements. Once we have decided on the products we want to make, we research and buy ingredients, testing the products, and price them individually). 

Our final step is advertising and packaging. We think of the individual packaging needs for each product and then create one that fits it perfectly. Once all the products are ready, we sell them to the MST community, and end with a reflection on the process, and try to find ways to refine the procedures for next time. We want the MST community to know how we turn natural ingredients into a quality product just for them!
