Montessori 101

We are delighted to invite you to this year’s Montessori 101.

This 3-part series will introduce some of the foundational principles of Montessori pedagogy. The sessions will be led by Ludovica Molinari Momoi (Early Childhood Coordinator) and Xavier Maréchal (Adolescent Level Lead).

In preparation for each session, we will share short videos and resources for you to explore at home, in your own time. During the sessions, we will build on these materials through a short presentation, guided discussions, and opportunities for questions.

Although the series is especially designed with families who are newer to the school and to Montessori in mind, all parents are warmly welcome. No matter your level of experience, your perspective will enrich the conversation, and there will be ample time for Q&A.

Dates and Topics

  • November 4 The Human Tendencies – What they are and how they drive us to learn.

  • November 11: The Absorbent Mind and the Reasoning Mind – A deep dive in the child’s mind through the years.

  • November 18: The Role of the Adult – How to use what we know in support of our children.

All three sessions will be held in Grove 1F, from 8:45 to 9:30.

If you would like to participate, please sign up HERE. We recommend that families commit to attending all three sessions in order to get the most from the series.

We look forward to sharing this journey with you!
